I’m a twenty-year veteran of the radio “industry” (how industrious can you be sitting in an air-conditioned room playing records) who fell into web development when I realized that I can do it in my pajamas. I’m a news junkie and a classic film geek; on the weekends I’m overdosing on news/politics, catching a movie, or working on my basement.
My hobbies are anything having to do with home theater and audio, geeky pursuits like Dr. Who, comic book movies and Game of Thrones, and classic cinema. My design tastes run toward mid-century modern. If I were a piece of furniture, I’d be an Eames Lounge chair.
My favorite foods are anything Korean, tonkotsu ramen, a hearty bowl of chili, or a medium rare steak. And bacon... always bacon. I also firmly believe that a semi- sweet red wine (or a well-crafted mojito) pairs with all of this.
Among my favorite movies are . . . The Dark Knight, Jerry Maguire, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Bond and Bourne flicks, Baby Driver (and most anything filmed in Atlanta or Chicago). Musically, my tastes tend toward the eclectic, with jazz, ska, hip-hop, and 60’s R&B among my mainstays. I’m currently reading Wisconsin Supper Clubs by Ron Faiola, (as well as various graphic novels), and listening to either Emily Estefan or Run the Jewels on Spotify. I’m a walking cliché.
A quote I like is, “If God had meant for us to go around naked, we would have been born that way.”
I am motivated by the appreciation and satisfaction of a job well done, as well as vague, often-empty assurances of stability and prosperity. Cash works wonders as well.
Working with Denise and RMN is a lifelong dream come true. Too much? OK, fair enough. But partnering with someone so creative and idea-driven is both an intellectual treat and an adventure -- it is very much like hitching a ride with a hot- air balloon.Back
